I don’t know about anyone else, but The Grudge scared the living daylights out of me. I watched it alone in the wee hours, so yeah I would imagine that scary blue kid was under my bed at times.

I watched the second installment, and truth be told I was a little disappointed. First of all, Sarah Michelle Gellar, doesn’t really have any role, so it’s cheap to market a movie using here name. Next up, not only was it less scary than the first one, I dint really get what the movies was trying to tell me.

It was forcefully scary and unsuccessful at that. Leaving aside maybe one or two incidents which made me jump, the rest was very predictable and cheesy. Bad acting was the major killer here, the 70 year old Japanese exorcist sucked the most. :) It’s directed by a Japanese director, so the language barrier must have been a problem some say, but I’m guessing he must have know English, with him directing an English movie. What I also know and have noticed, is when foreign guys make films, they put in them things which might look & sound very cool to them, but they seem extremely cheesy to the viewer.

Oh well, atleast now I know why the girl made that awesome stuck-in-mid-burp sound.
