A few posts ago I mentioned I was back into gaming and loving every minute of it. I'm almost through Call of Duty 3, I'm on the second last chapter and it hasn't seen the disc tray all this week, mainly because I'm afraid I might complete it and I'll have one less game to play. Yeah, I'm like that. Gears of War too is in progress, but I'm somewhere in Act I and I must admit it's fucking awesome, more on that when I complete it.
So about the games I'm looking forward to this year, all titles are obviously for the X360 as I've moved on from PC gaming because I can't afford to upgrade every six months.
Here goes in no definite order:
- Unreal Tournament 3
No surprise with this one, I'm adding to the list just because I've loved every game in this series since the original UT. The domain still says 2007, but the name has changed to 3 as you might already know.
- Assassin's Creed
I'm a huge Prince of Persia fan, in fact one of the few computer games I first played was Prince of Persia. It's set in the times of the Crusades and the trailers and in-game movies look great. I especially loved the fact that the town was so crowded and you needed to bump into people, etc to make your way through. Most games even, Oblivion had only a couple of people around towns and it did not seem realistic to me.
- Crackdown
Oh boy, this is a big one, it's even higher up on my list that Grand Theft Auto 4. Of late, the internet has been full of videos from Crackdown, mind blowing explosions, throwing cars at people, outrageous weapons, what more could you want?
- Def Jam: ICON
I had Def Jam: Fight for NY on my PS2 and I loved it. I'm not a big fan of fighting games, but this one was different. Pounding your rivals has never been so satisfying as it has in the Def Jam games.
- Mass Effect
Just because it's a Bioware game, and I fucking love Bioware! This will be the new KoTOR, it'll be one of the few games I'll actually play from start to end.
- Grand Theft Auto 4
Do you really need convincing on this one?
